Heather L. Vargo began her career as a licensed psychotherapist in 1995. After many years working for large agencies with ridiculous caseloads, Heather started her private practice Life Guidance Associates in 2003 where she keeps her practice small by design, handling every phone call, text or email personally.
With 30 years of psychotherapy experience, Heather Vargo LCSW, CCTP specializes in treating Adults, Couples, Families, Seniors and LGTBQ+ with issues related to Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Chronic Stress, Relationship Issues, Parenting/Co-Parenting, as well as those affected by Emotional Abuse, Addiction, Infidelity, Infertility, Transition, Grief, and Loss.
Additionally, Heather L. Vargo has had extensive training in the field of Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, Trauma from Narcissistic Abuse and Emotional Neglect. She loves learning and has enjoyed studying under experts such as Dr. Diane Poole Heller, Dr. Stephen Porges, Dr. Arielle Schwartz, Dr. Ramani Durvasula and Dr. Jonice Webb and has recently obtained her Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Credential.
